I watch $2400 piston operated Para’s leave the shop within hours of putting them on the shelves.
I watch $2500 LWRCs walk.
I watch $2300 MSARs (delivered in a cardboard box) leave the same shop.
Lets face it, the ACR is at least $200 cooler than any AR or bullpup 5.56. Limited supply, offered to certain dealers at first. Yep, people will pay for it.
Very cool design, as soon as I can get my lead-to-gold alchamy machine working, I’ll run out and get one. Until then, it’s great fun on MW2.
Really cool, but there’s no chance in hell that the .gov’ll mass buy them for the troops. We can’t even get hand-me-down M4’s, nobody in supply is gonna sign off on newfangled star wars rifles for everybody. We’ll get to drool when the Delta CIA SF SEAL superstar’s get em.
Bushmaster acr look cool but for basic model for $2500.00 I think is to much compare to fn scar, pof or wlrc which you could put add ons already unless the buyer is willing to put another $1000.00 to get the enchance model then put adds on it
Plenty of folks out there will spend it.

Good source for government arms.
The government isn’t going to pay $2500 for a rifle. Maybe in select limited runs for special units but for everyone? No way.
I’d like to have one, but that’s way out of my price range. $1800 to $2200 and I could work with them.
They got bought by Cerberus. They think they can have a US AR maker charge H und K prices.
Amusing.
Honestly, for a clean sheet of paper design without 30 years to amortize the engineering bill, it’s pretty reasonable.
It seems like a nice design. I just don’t see how they expect to sell many at three times the price of comparable .223 rifles.
